Lisa Malmstadt, owner and massage therapist, studied the art of massage therapy at Blue Sky School of Professional Massage and Therapeutic Bodywork in Grafton, WI. Her in school training consisted of 850 hours of classroom and hands-on massage training. Shortly after completing her training, Lisa moved to Jamaica with her partner and started her massage career as a private, mobile massage therapist. After 7 wonderful years in Jamaica, Lisa and her partner decided to move back to the United States to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Although originally from Wisconsin, they were spoiled by Jamaica’s weather and decided to make the California wine country their new home. Lisa’s clients benefit from her years of experience and training, getting an exceptional massage every time.
Lisa goes above and beyond in order to give her clients the best service possible. She attends continuing education classes and seminars every year in order to stay up to date on new modalities and techniques.
When Lisa isn’t massaging her clients, you can find her on the back of her partner’s bike exploring the California coastline or visiting with her grandchildren in Wisconsin or Louisiana.
Hello and Happy Day to You! My name is Amber Rangel. I’ve lived in Santa Rosa my whole life and have no intentions of leaving. I figured out pretty early on that massage was my calling and what I was born to do. When I was about 14 or 15 years old, I received my first massage and was hooked. (Unfortunately I had to wait until I was in massage school before I received my next one.) After high school I tried the traditional path and went to the JC and got a job in the mall. It didn’t take me long to figure out that was the wrong road to take. Soon enough I quieted all my doubts and made my way to massage school. In 2002, at the age of 21, I graduated from Western Institute of Science and Health with 640 hours of training, and have been massaging ever sense. In the last 15 years I’ve worked in many different environments ranging from; a noisy hair salon to a large health club, from a small day spa to a mid-size boutique hotel. Now, I’ve finally decided it was time to start working for myself. I love getting my hands on a client and feeling the healing change I can help them achieve. My preferred style of work is firm, deep pressure with stretching. Of course I can have a lighter touch as well. I like to say, the secret to a great massage is open communication. Don’t ever be afraid to speak up if you want more attention somewhere or are uncomfortable with anything.
Outside of work, you’ll find me busy with my family and friends. With two growing boys, there is never a dull moment in my house. My husband and I enjoy getting our group of friends together for bbq’s and game nights, concerts or fun adventures and camping trips. I love going to concerts and experiencing music live. My taste in music is pretty diverse. In my car you’ll find me cruising with Country or blasting some Heavy Metal. At home, I’ll be singing along to my ’90’s favorites or some good ol’ Rock and Roll. Feel free to request your favorite style of music while you are on my table. I promise I’ve heard enough New Age, Meditation, or (my favorite) ’Fairy Fart’ music for one lifetime. However something soothing will be playing when you walk in.
I very much look forward to having the opportunity to work on you soon.
